Tesla is seeking an Intern Tooling Engineer to join our team in EMEA . You will support with specifying, designing, and validating all tools and equipment used to service Tesla electric vehicles in EMEA Joining this team is a rare opportunity to become part of a world-class organization, supporting the latest EV technology.

What You’ll Do
  • Help establish the team’s presence in the EMEA market by understanding and implementing our market-specific requirements
  • Identify and develop practical solutions to enable fast, seamless, and revolutionary service
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, regional technical operations leads, service leads and technicians, and global tooling team to understand issues in service and resolve them in market
  • Develop a concept and build prototype solutions for new custom tools
  • Perform tooling validation with engineers and technicians
  • Strategize and implement process improvements
  • Maintain healthy supply of tools to each service center
  • Establish an audit process for Service Center tooling
  • Use CATIA to create tooling to specification in line with common industry practices
  • Create tooling prototypes and run validation testing
  • Work closely with designated Tesla tooling distributors to define off-the-shelf tooling selection, implementation, and maintain tracking


What You’ll Bring
  • Education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related engineering field
  • Fundamental engineering knowledge and have examples of applied engineering success through projects, or academic endeavors
  • English level C1 (spoken and written)
  • Strong verbal and written communication – you must be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical people as well as peers and people from different parts of the organization.
  • Hands on experience building mechanical and/or electrical systems
  • Experience in mechanical design and drafting preferred
  • 3D CAD experience, CATIA a plus
  • Familiarity with working with various outside suppliers and managing deliverable
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
